I Admire a Man Who Is a Good Father

‘Father' is the noblest title a man can be given.

I had a father that was totally absent I've done everything in my life and make sure my daughter is has me in her life I even quit a good paying job to raise her from 0 to 3 years old and it has taken until this week before I got back into the corporate world still not making what I was making but at least I'm back to an 8 to 5 Monday through Friday mid five-digit salary. Yesterday I took my daughter to an amusement park and we played all day long till I was pooped and so was she. I am so influential in her life that when we go on a carnival Cruise ship at the kids carnival they always ask if she has a mom because she never asks about mom she always tells him she wants Daddy and they said that is different than all the rest of the kids
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F

They don't talk to me anymore..
I guess they have their own lives now.
Unfortunately many of them are not worthy of the title.
BerryTheBoo · 26-30, F
@dearyme Many women are also not worthy of the title of mother.
@BerryTheBoo

Correct
yes, it takes a moment to become a parent, a lifetime to be a father.
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F

Father is a noble title......but DAD is a much more important role!!
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@FORMERLYbatovn It’s perspective. You as a dad should be privileged to have that title.
FORMERLYbatovn · 56-60, M
EXACTLY!!! :)
BerryTheBoo · 26-30, F
Peaches · F

@SimplyTracie My daughters say so.
They are a 3 on 1 majority over me.
I do not dare to dissagree.😁
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@CharlieZ You go dad! High five 🙋
CharlieZ · 70-79, M
@SimplyTracie 🙋‍♂️ Thank you1
dale74 · M
Daddy's a better title than father anybody can be a father it takes someone who is is there dedicated to their daughter to be a daddy
SW-User
@dale74 it doesn't sound so wholesome
dale74 · M
@SW-User it comes from the fact that father is also used in the statement you can father children but that doesn't mean that you did anything more than donate the sperm. Because legally you are a father if you were just the sperm donor. Daddy or dad is a term of endearment that is warranted through the time and dedication the male contributes to the raising of a child.

A great example would be the court system refers to the sperm donor as the father no matter what he contributes from that point forward.
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@dale74 If you have children, you are bestowed the title of “Father”. You could be the best most loving father or one that beats or abuses your children, you would still be a father.

And it should be a great honor to have that privilege. Are you a Father?
Mountainlady16 · 22-25, F
My husband says he holds many titles boss, church member, brither, son, husband. But none he cherishes more than the one his children call him daddy
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@Mountainlady16 I sure your husband lives up to all that is expected of a father. ❤️
Mountainlady16 · 22-25, F
@SimplyTracie he does his best

DADDYDEAN · 61-69, M
I hope you don't mind my asking Miss Tracy, but wer you and your brother raised by strict parents that spanked?
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@DADDYDEAN Strict yes, spanked no.
OwnerOfMany · 90-99, M
I disagree, I think "Dad" is. And there is a difference.
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@OwnerOfMany Can you define Father v Dad?
OwnerOfMany · 90-99, M
@SimplyTracie The "sperm donor" is the father whether he raises the child or not, the man who takes time, teaches, cares for, loves, and supports them, and is the one they turn to or come to in times of need, the one who wipes their tears and tends the scraped knees, is "Dad".

When a 38 year old woman, who is not your blood child, that you raised from the time she was 7 looks at you and says "I thank God he gave me you", you are "Dad".

Yes 👊🏼
Disagree.

Any man with a penis can become a father.
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
Was Unknown a father?
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@MarkPaul Maybe just a wise person
TJNewton · M
Father dad is not a title
it is what you become when your female partner gives birth
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@TJNewton I agree. There are a lot of deadbeat dads here too.
TJNewton · M
@SimplyTracie Sadly its the world we live in tracie
dale74 · M
@TJNewton you are correct about a lot of fathers but there are mothers that are the same way. My daughter always calls me Daddy or dad and I am there for all of the time her mother and I are no longer together and even at the first court hearing I was awarded primary custody. I am the one that switched jobs to working a night shift so I could take care of her everyday till she started school at 3 years old. Today I am the one that takes off work to make sure I'm there for any of her school performances whether it be music plays dance or sports mom has only been to one or two and that was with me telling her that it's important to your daughter and you should be there.
Lilnonames · F
I do to Tracie and my Dad was a very good Father to me
