We had our two teenage grandchildren with us most of last week, and dinner time was a "no phone zone" with all of us together. It was nice. One night, we even had an extra girl at the table.
@Birdbox1986 Our 17 year old granddaughter asked if she could bring a friend, one of her volleyball teammates. We also had two extra boys but didn't feed them. They were all going to play volleyball after dinner.
No luxury, no celebration—just the comfort of having everyone together under one roof. Looking back, that was happiness in its purest form. We never knew we were living the days we’d miss forever.
