Do you have a daughter?

My dad, bless 'im, said when my brother was born he was so happy to have a son.
And when I was born he said he was so happy to have a daughter, but noticed two grey hairs when I was two days old.

They were, he said, an omen of things to come and he blamed me for every one since.
He never lost his hair and this is the main thing, but he used to sing this to me.
Does anyone remember this singer? (Quality a bit rough).

@AudreyA I really like Val Doonican's stuff (Juice of the Barley etc.) but I didn't know he was your daughter.

Doonican's a dying or at least long gone breed - recording and singing clearly enough for anyone to understand the songs, Irish or not.
