Divorce: do I need a lawyer if we have no assets or kids?

So far I know I'll have to wait out the year separated before I can have it done. I rent. He rents. No kids. We have our own vehicles and split the household stuff when he moved out. I just want this done as cheaply and quickly as possible.

When i went to file we just ditched the whole financial side because it wasn't an issue for us .. idk how long you were married or what issues you will or won’t have filing.. if you are of equal financial status it shouldn’t be a problem .. but that's just me guessing
