Update on Star
It's never easy sleeping in the hospital especially with the bright lights and the nurses and doctors checking on Star almost every hour.
But somehow I did manage to get a little bit of sleep. I woke up this morning to see Star awake.
She looks over at me and smiles and says Uncle Jeremy I think I'm going to need a few days off from helping with the kids.
I walk over to her kiss her on the forehead very carefully and take your hand.
I say okay but I expect you back on Monday.
She laughs then groans a little and says Uncle Jeremy please don't make me laugh.
She is in the ICU and what they call stable but critical condition. They still need to look at her knee and ankle but I don't think that's a big priority right now. Thankfully she is breathing on her own with the help of oxygen.
