Hanging out with the popular girls

Last night's evening in with my daughter was great fun. Our neighbour was a little surprised to find me in my pyjamas at 5.15pm, but hey the rules of sleepover club are pretty clear! 🤣

Daughter has been so busy with her friends for the past two weekends that she says she feels she hasn't been spending enough time with either of us 🥺 My wife is picking her up from gymnastics this morning so they can do some Christmas shopping together. The rest of the weekend will be 'quiet' (relatively speaking) family time together with our little lady deciding the activities, menus, bedtimes, etc 🙂

I did have vague plans of putting the garden to bed this weekend. But when one of the most popular girls in school invites you to hang out with her (something that literally has never happened to me or Laura), you quickly rearrange your plans 😊

I think when she is brought into the circle of the popular girls it would have made her day. We sometimes forget when we are older of how much these things matter at school and the self-esteem boost will be a powerful thing. Good for you to drop your plans to help with hers.
