So I don't normally eavesdrop . .

. . and I certainly don't betray confidences . . unless it is really, really interesting!

I stopped outside my daughter's bedroom where she was trying to persuade her sleepover friends to join her on a holiday of a lifetime at a Butlins holiday camp near to where we live. This is the third time in recent months that I have overheard a version of this cunning plan which involves a rather long bus trip 馃槀 I don't know why she attaches such importance to this particular facility and I fear she may be rather disappointed if she ever actually makes it out there 馃檪

I don't her ability to organise a successful trip but I am nonetheless relieved that Butlins have a policy of not accepting bookings from 13 year old girls 馃槀

But if she does disappear it will be rather easier for me to hop in the car and drive an hour down the coast than it would to fly over to Ibiza, the traditional destination for most teenagers 馃槉

Lol... It's great that she's looking ahead... It's called hope!

You should talk to her about it... It might be something she's always wanted but been out of reach... Hugs

@Convivial I think her granddad may have promised to take her one year, but the trip never came about owing to the general chaos and misfortune that used to accompany her family life. Poor little mite, perhaps she was really looking forward to it 馃様

@SunshineGirl i think so.... Its not about Butlins per se, but an idea, a fixation maybe... An unrealised goal
