It's actually a blessing that I never could have kids
Because I do NOT subscribe to the modern way of "parenting".
My idea of parenting is to teach the child how to be a functional adult who has both common sense, humility, and coping skills. Not to carry them around in a protected bubble until they're 38 years old and can't do anything for themselves. Kids NEED to see things outside of a perfect Disney-esque world. They SHOULD see their parents be affectionate with their partners- how else are they going to learn what constitutes a healthy relationship? Kids are not made of glass- they can do chores and have responsibilities besides their homework.
Yeah, I'm glad I didn't have kids, because the world has become really fking weird about how to raise them.
