@LordShadowfire Exactly! Lead or to be precise, tetraethyl, did signigicant damage to the environment and humans in a relatively short time.
Lead from gasoline blunted the IQ of about half the U.S. population. Exposure to the poison cost people born before 1996 several IQ points on average.

That's a bit different than everyday use for vehicles. Most gas pumps don't supply leaded gas for the average motorist. I have some pre-mixed gas for my chainsaws. I need to look at the label on that that. I buy that now instead of mixing my own because I have fucked up in the past and seized one up 😡

@TrashCat careful that truefuel is kinda crap and voids a lot of warranties. It's really only good for winter storage.


I use it a couple of engines that have really high compression soft valve seats. They also run a little cooler on it.

@MethDozer i gotcha. I drain all my equipment and blow out the carbs & lines of any fuel in the winter.
