Could be a good idea to have a family meeting.
Explain to them what you have posted here. Get their reactions. They might volunteer to give up some activities so that the family can be together more often.

That sounds like a reasonable plan. Remember: wounds heal, scars fade, prison terms end, but a story is forever- better for your kids (and for YOU!) to have that than more fancy things that don't really matter, in the end.

I feel you, life passes so quickly and there must be more to it than work and sleep, rinse and repeat . It is why I left my job, sold my house and moved.

I don’t have dependents, so it was a much easier decision for me to take.

But yes, I would say step back and start winding things down. Your family might appreciate more quality time with you than some of the other activities they are doing now.

You are a long time dead, so you might as well make the most of your time now.
