@AthrillatheHunt I switched from Mongoose to Diamondback and later to a Haro. I think I liked the Diamondback best because I worked so hard to save up to get it?
The Haro was quick and had better BMX tires for control, but the Diamondback was light and so quick on straights and over the whoops and tabletops.

I grew up in Chicagoland, and my parents had memberships to many museums. A lot of them had those Mold-A-Rama injection molding souvenir machines, and I'd always want one, but mom would always tell me no.
Then, after she died, I moved out to Evanston (which is directly north of Chicago, along the lake, and connected to its rail system), and decided that over the course of one summer, I was going to hit up all those museums on their free days, and get every single one of those cheap plastic souvenirs, since mom wasn't around to stop me any more.
The machines still only cost $2, which makes me wonder about the profit margin they had back when I was a kid, so I went to the bank and got $100 in singles (the only thing the machines took) to make sure I'd have enough. Then, as I was leaving the bank, it suddenly dawned on me that if I'd actually told the teller why I wanted that many singles, there was no way on Earth she'd've believed me.
