My aunt and I sat by gmaws side 11pm to 6am last night.
I volunteered to do the same shift tonight. This time with one of my sisters. (It's almost midnight here as I'm writing this)
A couple of things that lightened the mood last night:
At one point my aunt handed me a bag with a couple of anise pretzels (gmaws favorite) across the bed. Gmaw burst awake and asked for one.
Took a lot of effort for her to chew, but when she had about 2 mouth fulls left in her hand aunt told her "you don't have to eat it all at once if you don't want to"
Gmaw responded by shoving it all in her mouth and chewing frantically. Like a doggo when it's eating something it shouldn't 😅
She then fell asleep for a few minutes then
She just popped her eyes open and started fumbling around for something on her cover. I asked her "what are you looking for?"
Gmaw: ugh.... Idk. A baby pig.
I could tell by the look in her eyes it was a joke, not confusion 😅
She's hanging in there, but has to be sedated so she doesn't panic or freak out. She started doing that about 12h ago
