We did a lot of that, and when the kids got older, we camped with family groups and took our church youth group with us. It was the only camping experience for some of those kids, and they loved it.

This is wonderful. It makes me remember all the camping I did with my kids years ago when they were little.

100% my guy. People have been connecting with each other around campfires even befire the advent of language itself. Theres just something, idk, magical (?) About sitting in the dark with friends or family, gathered around a warm dancing and crackling fire. Also sad that its popularity has been declining over the years. Especially considering how lonely everyone REALLY is. Campfires = real connection amd we need that more tuan anything right now.

Camping without a phone ? How primitive :) I do love a fire, and camping is a favorite activity.

Camping is the perfect excuse for kids to play hard and get as wet and muddy as they want!

Unplugging from the real world really is the best form of relaxing.
