I have 2 older sisters - believe me that there were times growing up when I would have given anything to be an only child!

I have an older brother but we have quite a large age gap, I was never lonely though.

Nope, I'm the oldest of four.

My brother was 12 years older. Lived in the middle of nowhere. Didn't see other kids until i was five or six.

Well not entirely. I was lonley at times but learned to adapt to it. Theres friends to be made at school and all that.

But if youve never experienced the opposite it just becomes your normal.

Like iv only met my dad a few times and people say thats sad but i wouldnt know what its like to have a full time father anyway so its just normal to me.

I was, and a child of migrants, so no extended family for half a world. And as the obly upbringing I knew it was "normal "😷

Both my wife and I were only children. Yes, at times I really did feel lonely.
