You are pretty much describing life in isolated rural communities in the 1960's and 1970's. Life for my cousins was cruising up and down main street in their pickup trucks and old beat up cars...going to the movies at one of the TWO movie theaters ONCE a month when the new movies came in...OR driving over to the Drive-In theater in Torrington so they could make out in the car!

My cousin used to drive up to Lake Minatare with her boyfriend to make out...and my MALE cousin, Chuckie, got his soon to be bride pregnant!

Doing what I did when the internet didn't exist at all.
Reading, gardening, crafts Hanging out with friends and family.

Go ... (gasp) "outside" (oh the horror of that thought).

Plenty of physical media and hobbies to stay locked in under times of stress. It might even be a blessing to remove myself from the surveillance state that the internet is hell bent on becoming.

Since the Internet really sucks these days, I just move on like it's nothing
