Which is worse in a relationship to be misunderstood or unappreciated ?

It's not fun to be misunderstood but everyone is going to be misunderstood from time to time being unappreciated hurts I think more at least for me

I guess unappreciated. I get misunderstood a lot. Everytime i say i have something to tell you. He goes immediately to what did you do this time.

Being unappreciated is discouraging. Being misunderstood is Hell.

I think being misunderstood can be addressed more easily than being unappreciated.

If you’re unappreciated, you really don’t have a relationship. I’d consider that far worse.

Where understanding fails, appreciation struggles to exist.

I feel being unappreciated is worse. One can be deeply loved but accidentally misunderstood, and usually that is easily remedied with communication.
But when one is unappreciated, it means they are being taken for granted, and that hurts.

Why can't people use their grown up words and communicate. It's like they're possessed in the Twilight Zone.
