Told my wife to pursue her dream…….

My wife applied for multiple jobs in Florida without me knowing and now she has a zoom interview. She told me about it last night and made sure I knew it was a dream of hers and I was stopping that cause I don’t want to move. I told her I will not be the one to blame and that I won’t stop her. Told her she needed to go after it and move if that’s what she wants. So much has changed in her and her dreams since we got together. Maybe it’s time to let her go

Why wouldn’t you support her dreams? But anyway, it seems like your marriage is already dead. Just the fact that she is searching for a job far away from you gives it away.

@Younameit that’s exactly it. She wants to move states away

Sounds like you're not interested in salvaging the relationship
Hoodski · 36-40, M

She knew what she was doing
Hoodski · 36-40, M
@MarineBob 100% knew what she was doing

Simply speaking....if she has done all this behind your back, and is only telling you now that things are real, you are not her priorty. Sorry, but why mince words? Now it's time to figure out your response- Stay? Go? - and that will only come from a place of what is truly important to you. Good luck.

Seems like you're both kinda looking elsewhere.

People do change and grow apart. It happened to my marriage. It's no hard feelings, you just don't make a good couple anymore.

You both deserve some freedom to pursue what you want as grown individuals.

Either go with her or tell her she needs to stay. Keep your priorities straight. You have a commitment to her. She is your wife.
Hoodski · 36-40, M
@GoodoldBob my priorities have been right the whole time
GoodoldBob · 61-69, M
@Hoodski No. Not really. Go read your wedding vows - you know the things you stood up before man and God and swore to. Think about what they say and mean.

Maybe then you will see clearly.
Hoodski · 36-40, M
@GoodoldBob I have been fighting for my marriage and putting in the work. Can’t force something that isn’t there and definitely not taking the blame for holding her back.

Honestly, sounds like she's already gone.

Hoodski · 36-40, M

dale74 · M
@Hoodski well i have two ex wife's and one 11 daughter who i have custody of. Sometimes it is best to let them go. Ask her if it is the job she wants or moving to Florida.
smileylovesgaming · 31-35, FVIP
What is the big deal with her getting a job
Penny · 46-50, F
she must not be that important to you
Hoodski · 36-40, M
@Penny she is important to me but can’t force something
Penny · 46-50, F

hunkalove · 70-79, M
