what age did you stop making your kid go to bed at a certain time

Since my oldest is going on homeschool starting in Jan. He has asked about not having a set bedtime on school nights just like he does on weekends. I am considering it on the basis that he gets his chores and schoolwork done everyday.

Teenagers need at least 10 hours sleep. If they don't have a set bedtime during the week they are not likely to get the sleep they need. My 15 year old has a bedtime and will do so until she finishes school.

Set my boys a bedtime of ten pm when they were at highschool (so age 15) As soon as they left school, they were allowed to decide when they go to bed with a bit of prompting from me to make good choices.

I still call his house now at 9pm and tell him to go to bed, His woman said I should stop 😆

Maybe an hour later. Experiment and see how it goes. Needs sleep more then he realizes...
