It's easier to raise a boy than a girl.

My best friend raised a son as a single mother, and he grew up to be a wonderful young man. He’s a professor at an art college up north. He did have men in his life, his mother’s father and brothers.

I've only been a single mum for little over a year, through being widowed. I have three boys, ages 19, 18 and 15. I'm having to talk to my older teenagers about sex, I think it's hard for them because they are never going to want to talk to their mum about that kind of thing. I think they would have rather had those conversations from their Dad.

I lost my son, i was a single mom for a while with girls, but if he were here it wouldn't have been any harder because i would have made sure that he had a father figure in his life.

Its harder once they reach a certain age

i'm not a single mom or a mom but women who had kids in general don't know how to raise them because they're bias or raise them the wrong way

Much harder. I was always able to say "just you wait till your father hears about this, I don't think he's going to like it do you?" It was like a miracle behaviour cure. He was better with them than ever I was, never raised his voice and yet somehow they responded to that better than anything else. Now they do not listen to me at all and the only leverage I have is refusing to drive them places.
