Has anyone ever liked a step parent?

My step son calls me mum these days. I was always very respectful not to over step since I came in to his life. He has no contact with his mum so I’m happy to be there for him. There has been times he hated me over the years when he was younger. It’s just playing the long game. I’ve been in your shoes too and I hated my dad’s partner for a long time.

My step-dad is younger than me so I find that weird. On the other hand he did date me and my sister before getting with my mum so we must've liked him at some point 😂

Haven't always had an easy time getting along with my step dad. I still love and call him dad, though

The dad part is just a title, means nothing. You are totally unrelated, even if your mom is married to the guy.
Not sure why people make a fuss over it. Accept him or reject him, your choice. Your mom can deal with all the rest.
