It scares me sometimes — the thought of raising a child in a world that feels like it’s falling apart.

We live in hope that we don't have to say it again.

It is going to get more scary. The best is to raise the child at home as much as schools are where things start to go wrong for the future. So better to wait for the world to fall apart and join in after the new world starts to happen.

we're already at 8 billion and still climbing, for a planet whose resources historically never had to support more than one billion people prior to the Industrial Revolution

humanity will be the cause of its own extinction, because very few people have the discipline to think beyond the next 5 minutes or beyond what they can see
