So Grandma sent me this text today

Hi Jeremy I know you’re struggling with whether or not to come to my surprise party, yes I know about it and I'm not excited. I don't even own a nice dress. I want you to know it’s truly okay if you don’t. Please don’t feel guilty — I understand how hard those situations can be for you. What matters most is that you love me, and I already know that in my heart.

What would make me just as happy is planning our own time together soon. I’d love nothing more than to come over, watch some baseball , sit by the fire , sip a little whiskey and even share a cigar with you and Joel while the kids run around. That sounds like the perfect birthday to me.

I love you so much, and I’m proud of you for the man you are. ❤

What a beautiful and CARING Grandma she is!!! Obviously your feelings are way more important to her than her own birthday. She is a lovely, lovely woman!

@4meAndyou he would if she asked. He says she isn't happy about the party at all. She wanted too have a huge cookout in the back yard
