A typical conversation with my brother…

(None of this was serious, btw. Mostly me making conversation.)

Me: I hate that I alway end up getting too much buttermilk when I’m making cornbread. It goes bad and I have to throw it out.

Him: What, the cornbread ? I’d take that off your hands.

Me: No, the extra buttermilk. It doesn’t seem to keep as long as regular milk.

Him: Seriously, how do you know when buttermilk has gone bad ? Is it less sour ?

Me (laughing): No, trust me, it’s worse.

Him: But you’ve always liked buttermilk to drink, too, right ? So drink it before it goes bad.

Me: I always worry that I won’t have buttermilk when I get ready to make more cornbread or pancakes.

Him: Sounds like that’s happening anyway, when it’s gone bad. So at least if you’re drinking it, it’s not going to waste, right ?

Me: Okay, I feel kinda dumb now.

Him: That’s what I’m here for.

Me: I’m hanging up now.

Him: I’ll be in your city tomorrow…

Me: Brunch ?

Him: Yes, please. 😄

Me: See ya. 🍽

I detest drinking buttermilk, so I don't have this problem! 😆
@DrWatson He’s not a fan, either. 😊
@DrWatson

I knew I guy at work who'd gulp the stuff down on a hot day... claimed it slaked his thirst.

@rinkydinkydoink Some people love it!
@DrWatson

It's the WORST!
@rinkydinkydoink I love it, just like I love yogurt.

*just sitting here reading your comment over and over again*

Ice cream, too?

@rinkydinkydoink @bijouxbroussard This conversation is like arguing about Marmite. There is no resolution possible! 😆
@rinkydinkydoink Yes, I love ice cream.
@DrWatson

First off, it's British. Strike one... 🤣

@DrWatson It’s an acquired taste. Like I said, my brother doesn’t care for it either. He does like the cornbread and pancakes I make; but you can’t taste the buttermilk in them. I fry chicken with buttermilk, too, but the buttermilk taste is imperceptible there as well.
@rinkydinkydoink It’s funny, I don’t like Marmite—but I do like Vegemite. 😊
@bijouxbroussard

I love that you don't like Marmite but I think the doc does...

Yes, Marmite is British.

And as far as I can tell, so is the debate! 😄

@rinkydinkydoink I tried marmite. I did not like it .
@DrWatson

You mean this convo is going nowhere fast?
