Parents and me

Why do people think that this is a big deal when I or someone else still lives at home with their parents I’m still here because I have no choice I have epilepsy and I have no where else to go. Growing up people would be thrown out of their houses because they are either being disrespectful or just because they’re too old for their mommy and daddy

Well, most people want to be out on their own, so they don't normally think of your circumstance. Because of your circumstance, it's comforting to know you have that option. So, there is no reason for you to feel disrespected by people and there is no reason for people to look down on you.

It's really a matter of communication, but you are certainly under no obligation to explain your situation. By the same assessment, it is understandable that without knowing your circumstance, people will think it is a big deal that a 31-35-year-old is choosing to continue to live at home.
