Sounds like she is doing all she can to help you and doesnt know why thats not good enough. She said Hi. She wasnt rude. She is likely very tired . Nothing more discouraging than being told your not trying hard enough when you are doing whT you can.

Mum / in law toxic relationship. But it doesn't sound like u been through Mum / daughter toxic relationship? That is one big toxicity to get out of, lingers into adulthood can even be there for life unless u get therapy involved.
