My parents prefer I call them by their real names, is that weird?

I was discussing it with a friend earlier who said his mom is the same way. My parents actually prefer that I call them by their first names and I have since I was growing up. They said using mom and dad didn't make sense to them because they don't just call me daughter.

to me, it’s kinda weird. but every family is different.

@SW-User It comes off weird to outsiders, I've gotten so used to it that I sometimes forget how it sounds to others lol. I've gotten a pass from them to call them by their names though.
