Just an update
So, last time I wrote a post, I stated that I going to ask my girlfriend's dad for his blessing at Thanksgiving. Well, before I tell you the answer, I have something to say. My girlfriend's family was very open to having me come over for Thanksgiving. My girlfriend didn't want to have multiple Thanksgivings so she made some calls and we went to a reception hall. She told me she had a surprise for me. I'll say it was a surprise. My family, her family (both her mom's side and her dad's) and some of our mutual friends were there to celebrate Thanksgiving. How she managed to put it all together so fast is beyond my comprehension.
Now, fast forward to asking her dad, I was nervous of course but he did in fact give me his blessing.
So, in December I did ask her to marry me and I am proud to finally say I have a fiance !
Oh, and because I don't want to leave her son out, I asked if he would accept me as his new dad. He could not be more excited.
