Stumbled on a picture of my mom when she was 9 or 10

I looked almost identical to her at that age. Now 26 years later I'm going through the photo album and I look like a skinner faced version of my paternal grandfather.

Confronting the idea of mortality too.

My mom was 36 when she had my older sis. Just a year older than I. She would pass on at the age of 44.

Do I too only have 8 years left?

It's bittersweet because, I'm 35 and I'm realising separate to it as her son, as her own person, she was too damn young to die. As they say, in the prime of her life.

My grandma passed away at 51, my mom now is older than she was and healthy

No worries it's not a 'pattern'
