I was up talking to my daughters til 4am

I'm gonna hate whenever they move out 😭. My 20 year old son is already talking about buying a house too, oh my god

I worry about the same situation, when son leaves home.

Just yesterday, I stumbled at a photo album of my son during his toddler days.

Almost made me cry.
How time flies so fast.

@scorpiolovedeep Oh my god yes, I was looking for some paperwork and. I was looking through a tire that had all my kids old art work and notes they wrote me and stuff, I started crying so hard

Aww.. I have his artwork from school too.
Even have his stroller at my mum's place.

My adult kids have been doing their own thing for ages. My 7 y/o only lives with me part-time (she's with her mum the rest of the time).

I bought a house the first time with my first ex in 1998, seperated in 2011. I next bought a house by myself at the end of 2023 (at age 55).

It's great that a person could considering buying in their 20's. For a majority of people that's an impossible dream.

@zonavar68 yeah he can probably pay cash for it too
zonavar68 · 56-60, M
@Nebula Woo hoo that's so awseome! I had to get a mortgage and was lucky to have money for a 20-ish pct deposit. Buying outright without a loan is fantastically lucky.
Nebula · 41-45, F
@zonavar68 I mean, he works like he's in his 40s so not really luck
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
Good for him. Many can only dream about buying a house at 30, let alone 20. 😅
Nebula · 41-45, F
@CrazyMusicLover yeah for real

Moving out at, say, 23 is ideal the world changes for the kids for the best. I know more than 4 dopes home with parents three are about 34 and one of my cousin is FIFTY!!! Big age, real big dope. At home it's suffocating, no privacy, lost opportunities, burden and u don't learn ANYTHING about life apart from how to be a dope
Nebula · 41-45, F
@Sazzio they are 23 but I want them both to finish trade school first before considering moving out
Sazzio · 31-35, M
@Nebula Yes I understand.
thats cool that he can buy a house at 20.....most houses where i live start at 1,000,000
Nebula · 41-45, F
@beermeplease geez, that's too much.
@Nebula well....thats the west coast for ya 😥

I hope to have a wife and kids some day. I need that family unit and love. My life feels empty right now.
Nebula · 41-45, F
@BigandHard1 I'm sorry

Time flies

But it adds a new dimension, it's not so bad...
Nebula · 41-45, F
@fun4us2b yeah, it's funny because when they're babies you look and then and wonder what they're going to be like as adults
fun4us2b · M
@Nebula Not a straight line, all kinds of bumps and ups and downs...but amazing how the change happens right before our eyes...

More crocheting time. ;)

@Nebula 😞alas this is a sad fact your little fledgling move on and go out in the big wide world. but you are always there as a sort of buffer for them when they need your help and advice
