Even so, there was a restaurant review on YouTube where the reviewer ordered fish & chips.
Looking at the menu he could have added a pickled onion for the princely sum of £1.50 !
Yes, that's for one, not the whole jar!

@Nimbus yeah,well, I still get it and just returned home to a letter telling me I’ve got a £150 warm home discount to be applied to my fuel bill.
So I’m happy 😀

I'm guessing a pickled onion with fish & chips is a regional thing.
I think most of England used to offer it but the popularity has been declining for decades to be replaced by curry sauce.
Some shops used to offer pickled eggs too :)
As for BP I have never seen it offered in any fish &chip shop in all of the UK! ;)
