Early morning, my mom was telling me people like me will all go to hell.

And I get that since she is ill, she is going to be yapping about Allah and religion even more frequently.

Now, I'm watching her squirm as others praise her for raising such an amazing woman. I am barely holding my laughter.🤣 I don't know if it's because she doesn't want the credit, she knows she didn't raise me or she just doesn't like the fact that people like me. Either way it is hilarious.

I can picture this, it is funny when a religious parent is faced with something they can't accept, that funny look in their facial figures, like they'd like to change the subject dearly!!

I’m sorry your mom is ill in any way. She should be really proud of you. You take care of people for work and do outside of it too. You’re an amazing person who genuinely cares and looks out for those who need it and you fight for them. You’ve touched so many even online, obviously me included.

I cannot see how your mom can be disappointed in any way or expect you to go be going to hell for any reason. You’re more than a good person and there aren’t many like you anywhere.. I’m gonna assume it’s mentally ill, no offense, b/c that’s the only way that I can see her seeing you differently. That would also mean it’s not her fault 😞❤️
Lol…… one of life’s interesting ironies.

I'm sorry to hear about your mother's ills

On a different note, do what I've done...I've accepted my fate as a doomed heretic heathen 🤷‍♂️
I'll take my chances on this how things ends one day for me

Give my/our best to your mother miram

I am glad this doesn’t hurt you 🩷. My Mom tells me she hates me at times but sometimes she can’t even remember who I am because of the dementia.

You have thrived despite her treatment of you.

I am sorry you are in similar position. Very tricky and requires so much patience and compassion, especially if they were abusive as parents.

My mother has diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease and keeps stopping her medications and having complications I often must interfere to fix.

The things she says used to hurt me a lot when she was saying them from a position of power. Now it often feels like a resentful kid who is upset they can't control the world. I let her say whatever until she tires and/or decides to talk about something else.

@Miram It is so tricky. Dementia has never tested my patience so much. My Mom has so many health issues.

I am sorry you’re going through this with her. It’s like having a child honestly especially when they act that way. You’re doing your best to help her. You’re a very strong woman and I am really glad for that.

I went through Breast cancer with my Mom last fall, I am glad she’s all clear with a mastectomy now. It’s hard to take care of someone who didn’t do a great job of being a Mother.
