According to Google a million people are without electricity due to hurricane Beryl. Tomorrow is supposed to be 99 degrees fahrenheit in Houston. No electricity means no air conditioning or refrigeration.

Thaks for the prayers. The power in our neighborhood just came back on at 9:30 p.m. We had power all day since we have a generator, and our neighbors were going to use our freezer if the power hadn't come back on. The Internet was down until a few minutes ago.

@Musicman We lost a lot of big limbs from our live oak tree. A neighbor helped a bit yesterday, but we need a chain saw and my electric one won't cut the hard oak. Our daughter's family and two neighbor volunteers will help today. No damage to our house or vehicles.

@Musicman I remembered that my reciprocating saw has a blade that cuts metal, so I've been using it on the tree.
