My parents are the reason I have a partial college degree and are the reason why I live in a condo. My parents paid for it so I could have independence and a leg up in life.

Absolutely not. And I do not want my loved ones to feel indebted to me. Life is too short to spend it struggling with unnecessary obligations. They must spend what I have given them in doing what is best for themselves and others .
