How would you feel if you gave your child some money to get something for Father’s Day or Mother’s Day..

But, instead they just got themselves something.
Well, it's cheaper than a DNA test because that definitely sounds like something my child would do

I'd celebrate my birthday on their birthday

haha I would respect it if he bought something he wanted but tried to twist it like he bought it for me for whatever reason. I would actually find more enjoyment in listening to his explanation over receiving any gift.
I dont give him money though to buy me gifts cause its a waste of money, Instead he normally either does a drawing or a makes something in his metal or wood work classes at school and he gives me it. He is very talented as all of that, so its really good gifts that he actually put a lot of work into that i will keep forever

Well without him you wouldn't be a father or mother...maybe he figured he deserves it.

depends on their age, but old enough and i'd be annoyed enough to never hand them cash again, unless it was explicitly for them to spend on themselves.

Depends on how old they are. For me seeing them happy and excited about something new that they wanted is the best gift of all. Mission accomplished!

I'd find that funny, but wouldnt give them money again as easily lol

I'd have to ask them why they did that for sure.

🙄
It happens.
It would be your own fault for not bringing your kid up right.
