How many kids is too many for one couple?

A friend of mine (35) and his wife (33) have 4 and are eager for their fifth. Does that seem like too many?

2/3 is a good amount.

Starting at 20 to 30 yrs of age.

I kind of feel bad for the multiples though. Can't give them that one on one attention.
