I just don't get it

Why does a death in the family all was brings out the worst in the family. When my uncle died a few year's ago the whole family was fighting over his stuff and money. My grandfather passed away a week ago and we are trying to plan his funeral and everyone is fighting like a pack of lions fighting over a zebra. Gee my mom hates my aunt. Then my mom and her sister and brother are arguing all most every day

Grief reactions. People are upset and every little grievance they have comes to mind and they fight about everything. It’s easier than grieving. My brother and I fought over my father’s car…. It was worth $15K hardly worth not speaking to each other for 5 years. I’m ashamed that I was so angry for so long about something that didn’t matter at all. Now my brother is with dad. I miss them both very much.

@Muthafukajones at least my grandfather doesn't have much money left at all. We all decided to use it on the funeral.
