For those who have never had children why or why not?

I made that decision long ago to be childless because I didn't think I could raise a child. I think I'm better as an uncle than I would be a father. Children deserve stability and a chance at a great life. I'm not stable and I could never give them what they deserve. That's why I decided against having children of my own.

I never made a conscious decision not to have children. I did discuss the matter with my last GF who said that she would not want to subject a child to me... I’ve been alone ever since.
