How much influence or control do your parents have over your life?

I still have nightmares about the trauma that he put me through. Not as often as 2 years ago though. So a lot of impact.

edit: now I see what you mean. I dont speak to them anymore, my father sometimes when he transfers me money for all the things he did but yeah.

Them being dead...not a great deal of influence in my life.

They died when I was young. So, besides how they raised me up till that time...... none.

Growing up, a lot . To this day I still value their opinion because I respect them and because I know they love me and want the best for me.

None. Both are deceased. However, some of the things they did and said still live in my mind...like ghosts.

I haven’t lived with them in over 40 years. But I continued to value my mother’s advice until she passed, and still am close with my father.
