My Aunt passed away last night. ☹️

My sincere condolences on your Aunt’s passing. Even when you’re not really close, you feel the loss.
It’s a reality check that you don’t want....I have one Aunt still living, and she’s the last of that generation. She’s in her mid 90s, and one of these years there won’t be any relatives of that generation....and my generation will be the oldest. I was fortunate enough to see her less than 2 weeks ago (after not having seen her for a couple of years)....she was frail and using a walker, needing help to go up the stairs to my cousin’s place.
One day in the not too distant future, I might get a call from my cousin about the same thing....and I know it will be upsetting if and when I do. ❤️ 🤗

I am so sorry to hear that. I know how you feel. My last Aunt passed and I never called her to thank her for a baby picture she sent me with my mom and dad. I still think about it.

My condolences. Even if you were not close, she’s the last of the generation above you. That can be like a reality punch to know you are now the oldest generation, and all those in your family who came before you that you knew and loved are all gone. There is only one person left between me being the oldest in my family, and more frequently now, I Miss all those who were older than me, and have gone. {hugs}

Death is always a sad time in our families. At the wake, listen to all the good stories those close to her will tell, Then you can have something fine to remember her.
