Anyone elses dad do this?!

When you send a long text and two hours later get a reply.... saying, OK.

I could of put, Dad, I'm dying.. and i would of still got the same reply. 🤭

@Beautywithin I have an iPhone -- which i never use -- and a landline. My wife is addicted to her iPhone, but I'm one of those people who even has the landline on call screening and I don't feel any obligation to pick up just because someone called -- talk to the answering machine unless you have something Ii want to hear. ;)

Is that you, Son? Everybody knows to call me. If they send a text, all they will get in return is "yes," "no," "ok," or "thnx.;" and it may be tomorrow when they get that.

Yep this dad does that and the really amazing bit is i get a txt back before I’ve put phone down , how can youngsters txt so fast !!

My dad doesnt know how to reply to his text messages. I dont even think he reads most of them.

I always answer my daughter's texts with,
"WHO is this!?”
or
”We're not open at this time. We do kinda value your business, so if this is an Emergency please hangup and call 911.”

It's really strange, because my dad usually embraced new tech, whether it was HDTV back in the day or quadraphonic sound in the 70s, but even though my brother began an interest in computers FORTY years ago, he never used a computer or sent a text. Used the "phone book" until the day he passed in 2019.

I don’t send long texts, but if I were to send even "Hi, how are you ?" Pop would text back, "call me !"
Of course that’s more texting than [b]most[/b] 90 year olds do.
