I think it’s possible in the dysfunctional sense when someone doesn’t have a particularly strong bond with their offspring or the child has many issues that make sustaining a healthy bond challenging,
but in a non-dysfunctional scenario it’s better to recognize that these are different kinds of love that are very different dynamics. Love for one spouse and that kind of relationship you two have isn’t comparable to the love someone has for their child and the dynamics of that relationship.
