I feel so horrible......

Went to see my mum today and helped her out cleaning and stuff and I asked her if she wanted to come over to mine tomorrow to have some cake and stuff as it's gonna be my birthday and she said only if your boyfriend will pick me up and take me....
Maybe I'm over reacting but I live 15 minutes away from my mum I always walk there even though we have a car my daughters walk there too. One is 3 the other nearly 2.
Should I be pissed of or am I over thinking this?
I can't believe my mum would say something like this

Just saying:
maybe your mom would feel more comfortable being she wont know everyone there. And by having your boyfriend accompany her she'd be more accepted by all.

Hard to say, could be much more than what info you've given us.
MiraRoss · 31-35, F
@eyeno honestly she already gave me my presents and they wasn't wrapped.....
eyeno · M
@MiraRoss okay since you've obviously thought things out, then just relax.., forget about it and let things play-out.

lol.., we old people do strange things anyway.
Btw: happy birthday !
MiraRoss · 31-35, F
@eyeno thank you
InHeaven · F
No. Its a minor thing. When our parents die we often regret and wish that we did what they asked us not once but 100 times with no problem especially if its only 15 minutes, not 15 hours and will cost basically nothing
MiraRoss · 31-35, F
@InHeaven it's hard to with what I've been through it should have never happened she turned her back and walked away. She is my mum and I will always look after her when she really needs it but forgiveness is earned even if it involves family
InHeaven · F
@MiraRoss she may not know how to earn it so you are expecting from her what she does not have and might never give you. Just forget it and move passed that. She might also have been through something that lead her to be this way. Not everyone has the proper maternal instinct to be there for their kids. People are damaged
MiraRoss · 31-35, F
@InHeaven apparently I ruined her life that's why she pushed me aside then she had two more kids and cared more for them than anyone else and my big brother,who doesn't know who his dad is yet I do and my mum won't tell him.it be nice to be appreciated for what I've done for her she doesn't even have manners
VirginMatchmaker · 46-50, M
Is she needing a lift because perhaps she's loaded up with presents, or other stuff? If not then it's a bit off. It I'd think there's reasons behind it tbh.
VirginMatchmaker · 46-50, M
@MiraRoss oh geez that's not great. Although she could be making up for it now. But maybe that's trying to be optimistic?
MiraRoss · 31-35, F
@VirginMatchmaker all my life a was a mistake to her it would be bit optimistic
VirginMatchmaker · 46-50, M
@MiraRoss sorry
eMortal · M
I know it hurts she’s not putting you first. But understand she’s getting to that age where she needs more care than usual. That was the hidden message.
MiraRoss · 31-35, F
@eMortal maybe if she didn't let the others walk all over her maybe they would help her. I shouldn't have to do everything I have my own life now
eMortal · M
@MiraRoss You’re totally right, you have your own life now. I think your mom is giving up way too soon. A walk would be beneficial to her health. I was just pointing out the mindset she could be in.
MiraRoss · 31-35, F
@eMortal she's always let the others walk all over her since I moved out. She never went out and did much only work and 4 years ago she stopped work to be home for my lazy brother and stopped going out
It's kind of a weird thing to say. Are you sure she wasn't joking? I'm sorry you're upset
@MiraRoss why is that
MiraRoss · 31-35, F
@PepsiColaP it's what she says every time I invite her over yet she will walk my sister to get her hair cut
@MiraRoss if you will be upset by her presence don't have your partner pick her up. If you will more be upset she will be missing your bday ,have him pick her up. Ultimately it's your choice
ozgirl512 · 26-30, F
I think possibly overreacting... Maybe she's not feeling up to speed... Maybe she enjoys you bfs company?
MiraRoss · 31-35, F
@ozgirl512 maybe we will see
ozgirl512 · 26-30, F
@MiraRoss enjoy your birthday
Rhode57 · 56-60, M
Depends is she disabled , wheel chair bound or anything making it difficult for her to walk .
MiraRoss · 31-35, F
@Rhode57 not she's not
Gusman · 61-69, M
I would pick her up. A small thing to do.
She may not be feeling the best to walk.
You do want your mum there with you on your birthday.
Fluffybull · F
She wants a lift instead of walking. What's wrong with that? How old is she?
MiraRoss · 31-35, F
@Fluffybull that's what she says every time I offer for her to come over. So my boyfriend should drive all the way up and back down every time she want to visit?
SW-User
thats a bit odd sounds like she likes you bf
MiraRoss · 31-35, F
@SW-User not true
SW-User
@MiraRoss then why is she so focused on him picking her up seems out of line 🤷🏾‍♂️
redredred · M
I don’t know how old she is but as one ages the feet hurt, sometimes a lot.
Jenny1234 · 51-55, F
Maybe she’s not feeling well enough to walk?
Wiseacre · F
Not a big deal...just say ok!
WaryWitchWandering · 36-40, F
Is she depressed or ill?
MiraRoss · 31-35, F
@WaryWitchWandering no she not
SW-User
Does she have medical issues?

@Stereoguy she never gets out the house just stays in cleaning up after the others do her good to get out. For me very little I was her mistake all my life she put me aside and let her man do what he wanted and had her back turned. But that's not what it's about
