Ever experienced this kind of abuse?

As a kid (and a very unhappy one), sometimes my witchy mother would get very angry and she'd grab me by the forearm and whirl me around the room while screaming at me. She wouldn't beat me up--the furniture would do that! I'd always feel it was basically my fault for being clumsy and tripping over the furniture or banging into it. Often these incidents would end with me becoming so dizzy I'd just fall down in a heap and be too dizzy to get back up again while my mother stood there laughing at me for my idiotic helplessness.

{@greenmountaingirl ] 馃槳 so sorry your mother found it necessary to treat you so badly . some adults do not deserve to have kids

@smiler2012 It wasn't necessary. For the most part, I was a well behaved kid. My mother adopted me (at birth). Everyone told me I needed to be grateful!

@greenmountaingal 馃 grateful for what exactly this was unnecessary abuse

@smiler2012 Adoptees are supposed to be grateful that their adoptive parents "took them in." So anything the parents do is OK from that point of view. Adoptees are the only children who are supposed to be at least tolerant of, if not outright grateful for, abuse from their parents.

@greenmountaingal what an ignorant attitude others have about kids adopted
