Sometimes we self harm and don't realize it

We speak through our pain with words we don't really mean . Doesn't make it right . Sometimes we don't always know the right words in those times . We bleed out through our words ...

In February someone I loved dearly died and one night I was balling my eyes out and she came to me and told me not to wallow is sorrow and teased me in a way she used to before her body could no longer give her life in the earthly realm. It's okay to feel sad but we must not wallow in those emotions like they are a warm bath. Thanks for sharing your insights.
@PinkMoon I'm so sorry for your loss
The problem being, in a word, loss.

When you reach a certain age the past has eaten up the time required to heal the hurt and reclaim the dreams that were stolen. And when you look around and see so many others who’ve achieved their dreams, it’s a constant reminder and incredibly painful.

Defining new dreams is of course a possibility but they could never be the same as those lost in days gone by. And I mourn them.
Yep, been there. Self harm has been a life theme for me.
@UBotMate I keep carrying this weight of hurt around and it's getting too heavy to keep carrying ...time to put it down
@catastrophecarnival Medication has detached me from feelings, but that took some time and a fair bit of medication adjustment. I am still acutely aware of the abyss though. The medication just built a platform over it so I'm separated from it. I will be on medication for life. I don't do well without it. I hope that you can fill your own abyss so that your feelings only go so deep, to healthy levels ❤
@UBotMate I used to feel the only way to heal was to detach and forced indifference..
But it doesn't work ...and it's exhausting because it's not who I really am ...so I'm just not going to do that anymore
Expressions of self-harm manifest in many ways. We taint our beautiful Earth and precious waters with harmful substances. We harm ourselves with toxic addictions. We engage in conflicts, taking lives over trivial matters, losing sight of our shared humanity.

While wild beings embrace their true natures, humans sometimes stray from authenticity in their hearts.
I'm trying to stop it, I need to heal, I have to
@AbsolutelyFabulous You will heal ..when you are ready to
