What do you do if someone hurts your feelings?

Whenever I get my feelings hurt I end up keeping it to myself. Should I tell the person or should I try to avoid conflict by not telling them?

I think it depends on how important that person is to you and how often it happens.

Totally different if a random stranger doesn't like your dress sense compared to your SO constantly being critical
