I would call it more of abject disappointment. Like Moms are the one thing we hold sacred and pure, not the ones who will be a source of pain, rather than a source of comfort.

@foldedunfolding calling for objective fairness is hardly quitting. By their definition then the solution is the complete and abject surrender of you to their point of view. Why even mediate in such a scenario then ?
