What do these words mean to you?

“Fear, he is a liar”. What do these words mean to you? For me it was the moment a friend said these words to me and asked me to think about them every time I felt the fear caused by my anxieties and the emotional vampires around me. That was over 2 years ago and I finally understand.

Yes fears are very real but think about it, some are based on our anxieties or past experiences. These are not rational fears. These are the ones I am talking about.

To me it’s not true because tho some fears are unfounded and not real and therefore false and untrue..

Some are very real.. so I disagree

Expressed a different way ... For all the terrible things I imagined happening to me, none ever did....

@Convivial that’s exactly what I mean. Not saying bad things do jig tapped because they do, it’s life, but it’s so freeing when these fears stop controlling you.

@Lillybee17 so true... As someone said, of you live in fear you're living in the past, if you're anxious you're living in the future, if you're happy you're here in the present...
Some fears do prove to be unfounded but others can provide valuable warnings. So it’s a matter of knowing which is which and proceeding accordingly.

I understand it. Fear is telling you that you should be afraid of something, when there is nothing to fear but fear itself.

I suppose it would depend on who you think "he" is. If he is fear then fear is a liar. If you think that He is a liar that you should be aware of. Fear being another way of saying aware or leery of someone who is a liar.

In this case it really was meant to be the anthropomorphizing of fear.

It was a religious reference to the devil. Though it's not in the Bible. They didn't want to make reference to any form of Satan in FEAR of him coming.

@DeWayfarer maybe but I think it was all in the way I interpreted that made all the difference for me.
