What do these words mean to you?

“Fear, he is a liar”. What do these words mean to you? For me it was the moment a friend said these words to me and asked me to think about them every time I felt the fear caused by my anxieties and the emotional vampires around me. That was over 2 years ago and I finally understand.

“Fear, he is a liar”

I think the answer is nuanced

Fear is an emotional and physiological response to a perceived threat or danger. It serves as a survival mechanism

While fear evolved as an essential mechanism for self-protection and survival (by natural selection)… it becomes problematic when fear is irrational or persists despite no real threat of danger.

Of course it’s not just genes and evolution that shape our response but environmental from life experiences, both past and present, that can influence our response

@yeronlyman my fears have always been due to past traumas. They have kept me in the same cycle for decades and for the better part of my years. Trying my hardest to realize that is all behind me.
