Exploding head syndrome and extremely weird dreams
Long post:
The two are unrelated as far as I can tell. But they could also be related due to irl stress. Idk.
First of all:
Exploding Head Syndrome = as you're falling asleep, or already being asleep, you're woken up by a loud and sudden noise. Most commonly a gun shot, loud knocking, or an explotion.
In my case it's the sound of the door bell. I can't tell you how many times I've woken up to check who's at my door, regardless of what time of day/night it is.
The only time someone was actually at my door was also the only time I thought to myself "I probably dreamt it, but I'm gonna check anyway"
As for the weird dreams:
Dream 1:
2 nights ago I dreamt I was in a world that felt like a maze, except instead of walls, I had to find my way out via pictures.
I "woke up"(in my dream) inside of a painting and noticed I could zoom in on a plethora of details that acted like portals. I had to choose which portal to go through to proceed.
After crossing a portal I ended up in another painting with even more portals.
This dream felt like it lasted for several weeks, and I kept feeling more and more lost. Especially since there was no way out even by backtracing.
Dream 2:
Last night I dreamt I was in a world where one magic entity ruled, and it decided to give the whole world a massive earthquake.
The group of people I were with and I jumped i to the oceanso we could dive underwater to make the mountain rocks (boulders) less impactful if they hit us.
I was the only survivor, so I roamed the streets trying to warn people while even more rocks fell from the mountains surrounding us.
After a while I found safety in a massive underground religious shelter which could withstand the havoc. Between all the falling debris I managed to save a good amount of people.
At some point I met a lady who had the most amazing aura. Turned out she was the sister of the gods causing it all. She managed to reset the world to its original state, with the hopes of changingthe outcome.
Long story short: After about 1,5 mill resets, and keeping her malignant sister prisoner for a lot ofthe last efforts, she still failed.
I saw a massive boulder coming my way only once theoughout this dream, and I woke up just before it hit me.
