Dream last night
Another school dream. They have been constant. In this one I was in a graduate school program. They were holding a secret Santa event. The lady I got for my secret Santa was very high up in the academic hierarchy and known for being particular and mean, so I was coached on her present. She liked cake, if it was homemade. So every year for her Secret Santa gift whoever got her always gave her a homemade cake. So I was instructed to make a cake for her.
I went and made the cake. I brought it to the gift exchange and set it on a table, but people just started eating it. By the time I got back to it from what I was doing, there was only a small piece of the cake left, and the secret Santa exchange was literally starting now, there was no time to make another one or even to go buy anything else for it.
I was upset and stressed out and it only got worse to hear that my secret Santa, who was basically my boss, was upset that she hadn't gotten any present this year and knew it was my fault.
I woke up. I told my husband about my dream. He told me "I don't think higher ups should be allowed to participate in Secret Santa." I said "yeah you're right, I'm going to tell them that if I fall back asleep." Awake I also felt it was unfair that I was blamed for other staff eating my cake without permission.
The funny part is I did fall back asleep into the same dream, and I did tell the faculty exactly that. I told them that higher ups shouldn't be allowed to participate in Secret Santa and that it was unfair of them to blame me for other people eating my present without my permission. I basically didn't let them bully me over it anymore. The dream ended with me feeling confident again and unbothered.
I just find it so funny that I woke up, said "that's a good idea" and immediately went BACK to my dream and implemented it 😂
